Akseki

Akseki is a district of Antalya Province.

In ancient times, the region was under the rule of various civilizations such as the Lydians, Persians, and the Roman Empire.

After the Byzantine Empire, Muslim Turks dominated the region.

Important settlements were formed during the Seljuk and Ottoman Empires.

More specific information about the history of Akseki:

Akseki district was founded in 1288 and its history dates back to the Roman Empire.

Located at the summit of the Western Taurus Mountains, Akseki was a district called "Marla" and "Marulya" at that time and was connected to Alanya until 1872.

Later, it was connected to Antalya.

With the establishment of Manavgat and Seydisehir districts , many villages were connected to these districts.

Gundogmus, which became a town of Akseki in 1936, was separated as İbradi district in 1990.

• Eagle Cave

Kartalli Cave is a natural beauty located near the town of Kuyucak in the Akseki district of Antalya province in the Mediterranean Region and is also known as the "Bagircak Cave".
